About

I believe in mediation as a powerful tool in conflict resolution. When a relationship fails, communication breaks down and without communication, issues become far harder to resolve. The role of the family mediator is to help separating couples have the difficult conversations about next steps. There is a lot to think about at a time when emotion and stress is high.
As mediators, we are here to help guide those conversations so that they can be productive. After a career making documentary films, I have turned my attention to helping people make sense of their own stories, to find a way through what is often, a most challenging time. The films I made were about ordinary people in their everyday lives and they introduced me to life and culture in many different countries across Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Africa and America.
I also volunteer at Dad's House pro-bono family law clinic where I meet clients with extreme difficulties concerning access to their children. I am able to explain the option of mediation to them in an attempt to resolve their troubles out of the courtroom.
I am a member of the FMC and the FMA and have full professional indemnity insurance.
